Description
It sets an organization's technology vision, aligns tech strategy with business goals, and oversees R&D, engineering, and software architecture.
Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Roadmap: Define long-term technology vision, evaluate emerging trends (such as AI, cloud platforms, and big data), and plan system scalability.
- Engineering & Team Leadership: Build, scale, and mentor global engineering teams, set quality standards, and recruit senior technical talent.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Oversee data privacy, risk mitigation, infrastructure reliability, and security standards.
- Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage technology budgets, evaluate return on investment (ROI), and manage vendor relationships.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the CEO, CFO, and other C-suite leaders to turn technical capabilities into a competitive business advantage.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field (an MBA is often a plus).
- Experience: 10 to 15+ years of progressive technology experience, including 5+ years in senior executive or VP-level leadership.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in software development, cloud infrastructure, system architecture, data security, and digital transformation.
- Soft Skills: Strategic foresight, executive communication, stakeholder management, and business acumen.
